Early 1914 WW1 Wartime
7.63mm C96 Small Ring hammer 5.5 inch barrel Mauser Broomhandle Pistol with
serial No. 185x02. All numbers matching including the grips. The Gun comes
with an interesting Original, rare Mauser Banner non matching WW1 Wartime
issue Walnut stock - numbered 692. Bore has good strong visible lands, w/
slight frosting which is quite normal for a pistol of this era. A period
holster with wood handlle cleaning rod is also included. The stock has no
cracks as is often found on pistols of this period. There is a very slight
small chip of wood missing by the (stock lid) release button area.
The pistol has a faded rust blue finish with bright bolt,casehardened
small ring hammer and lock frame, with walnut grips with 31 grooves.
This Broomhandle has all the early distinctive features of an early wartime
issue such as the small ring hammer and short extractor. This pistol was issued
prior to the outbreak of WW1 and has seen service.
This specific pistol also has the special tangent rear sight calibrated
for 50-1000 metre found on early 7.63mm (.30) calibre pistols.
A interesting pistol ideal as a collection piece.
