The Early 1st Model Prototype 1913 Luger Artillery Shoulder Stock and Carry Holster,
originating from The David Marsh Collection, is an exceptionally rare and historically
significant artifact. This early model shoulder stock, preceding the slightly altered 2nd
model, features a distinctive design. The carry holster is meticulously crafted with
compartments to accommodate four magazines, a cleaning rod, and a loading/stripping
tool. It was engineered to hold the specialized 32-round Snail-drum, which was carried
in its own leather holster.

These early prototype stocks and holsters were issued to cavalry squads, specifically
those assigned to operate the German Field Gun. Men on horseback who pulled the field
gun into position were equipped with the Luger Artillery Holster-Stock Pistol and Holster
for use while mounted. The Luger Artillery's extended barrel provided enhanced accuracy
when attached to the wooden holster stock, while the Snail Drum allowed for rapid firing
of 32 rounds, making it a versatile weapon in diverse field warfare scenarios.

Note : It is essential to note that the accessories showcased with the stock and holster,
pistol is not included and were solely presented for demonstration purposes.

A very nice pre-owned rig showing minor wear. "Heirloom quality".....
